University of Koblenz, Koblenz-Landau University was founded in 1990 and is one of the newest German universities, the university has a unique structure in Germany with two campuses in two cities separated by 150 kilometers, namely Koblenz and Landau, and they have a common seat in Mainz, Koblenz-Landau University is one of the smallest universities in Germany and has grown significantly in a relatively short history. Since its transformation from the Faculty of Teacher Training in 1990, many new departments and institutes have emerged, in addition, a wide range of new study programs and chairs have been created, and existing courses and research have been constantly expanded.

History of the University of Koblenz and Landau

Universities in Germany, were transferred from the Faculty of Teacher Training in 1990, and since then, new departments and institutes have been created, new terraces and chairs have been created, while existing courses and research interests have been expanded.  

Today's academic profile of the University is characterized by a combination of computer science and psychology as well as the traditional departments of education, humanities and natural sciences.

Since 1990, the number of students has more than quadrupled, there are now more than 16,000 students enrolled, what makes Koblenz and Landau attractive as study sites is a wide range of courses and directs these courses towards the world of practical work.

Research in Koblenz and Landau is primarily geared towards practical application, the transfer of academic work through collaboration with partners from industry, commerce and management is of great importance.

Our Master's students have the opportunity to enroll in the Collaborative Master's Programme developed jointly with Koblenz-Landau State University (Germany).

  • The program offered by ConcordiaUA in partnership with Koblenz-Landau University combines the following elements: Specialization – Management, Master of Business Administration (MBA) – from Concordia UI.
  • Master of Science in Information Management with a specialization in Entrepreneurship, Technology and Innovation Management (ETI-M) – University of Koblenz-Landau (Uni KO-LD).
  • The program provides students with the opportunity to study in an international environment, to acquire knowledge and skills at the two partner universities, based on the common concept of complementary programmes.
  • Students study for the first stage at ConcordiaUA and then participate in online modules as part of the integrated general learning concept of the ETI-M specialization, which is provided through distance learning at Koblenz-Landau University in the second stage.  
  • Upon completion, successful students receive a master's degree from ConcordiaUA in Ukraine and Koblenz-Landau in Germany.
  • Students are guided by their professors and teachers through the online learning platform (Moodle) and can communicate with them during online consultation periods, as well as with other students.
  • Online courses may be accompanied by on-site courses at their parent university.
  • At the end of this program, students must write their own master's thesis, which is generally supervised by two professors: one from their local university, the other from their university.

The University occupies a leading position in education, training and private tutoring in Rhineland-Palatinate.
