Studying in Germany is almost free, the semester fees for universities range from €250 to €500 per year, and it also covers free public transport for the student in his or her city and sometimes in the state as a whole, such as the University of Marburg, the University of Mainz and the University of Heidelberg.

Visa and entry to Germany visas for Palestinians

A Palestinian needs a visa to enter Germany, the type of visa depends on the duration of the intended stay, do you want to travel to Germany for a short time as a tourist for example?  Or do you intend to stay for a long time to study for example?

Please specify the length of your intended stay first:

  • Short stay (no more than 90 days, e.g. for tourism or business purposes)
  • Long stay (more than 90 days, for example, for the purpose of studying in Germany , working or family reunification).

Instructions for applying for visas at the German Representative Office in Gaza:

  • The Gaza office will be closed from 18 September to 3 October 2022.
  • To be able to make an appointment for your trip and apply for a visa from the office in Gaza.
  • Schengen Visa: Please complete the Videx form for your Schengen visa and bring a hard copy to the appointment.
  • National Visa: Please complete the Videx application for a national visa and bring two printed copies on time.

Please note that the legal process for studying a Schengen visa application in Gaza takes 6 weeks and a minimum period of 12 weeks when applying for a national visa, visa status inquiries cannot be processed until this time has elapsed.
